How Should My Medical ID Bracelet Fit?
Just like with any piece of jewelry, your medical ID jewelry should fit snug enough to where it won’t fall off, but loose enough to where it is still at a comfortable fit. Since medical ID jewelry is meant to be worn almost all hours of the day, it’s important that your jewelry is comfortable enough to where you won’t be discouraged to wear it. Your medical ID jewelry should be something that you want to wear not something that you feel like you have to!
How to measure your wrist for medical ID bracelets:
- Using a measuring tape or a string, measure around the most narrow part of your wrist. This fit should be flat on your wrist but not too tight! Wrap your wrist so that it creates two layers of tape, one right above the other so that you can accurately measure starting from the “0” point. (note: some measuring tapes do not start with the “0” mark at the end of the tape).
- Locate the beginning of the measuring tape, the “0” point, and find where the other side of the measuring tape lines up with it. This number will indicate your wrist size
- Typically, adding 0.5 inches to your wrist measurement is the best way to get a good, comfortable fit.
- Take a look at the table below to see what size you may need depending on your wrist measurement.
